COLOR CHOICES - Striped Arm Warmers - Fun and Contemporary

These cool arm warmers are not only functional they look COOL too! Are really fun to dress up a Halloween Costume as well!
Customer Review: Stylish and warm!
I actually bought these for school. LOL I am a college student and a stay at home mom, so I am taking the majority of my classes online. Unfortunately, my study is frigid and my hands were freezing while I was trying to type up research papers and English essays. I tried gloves with the fingertips cut out, but no matter how thin it was, the material in between my fingers severely hindered my typing skills. When I came across these arm warmers, I couldn't believe my luck! I quickly ordered a pair and they are perfect for what I need! I now want several more pairs!
Customer Review: Unbelievable price
Same Leg Avenue item as many other merchants with an incredibly low price! Fit well, easy to use (thin yes, but what do you expect for the price?). Will be buying more. Thanks!

Everybody loves Halloween because it is the time of year before Christmas that you can dress up like you want and have a fun time scaring everybody. there are some standard Halloween Costumes that many people wear and then you can find costumes that become popular for the season.

This year seems like it has been very popular for many movies that have done well at the box office and this usually indicates what people will dress up on Halloween. Of course Batman is another great hit and you can be assured there will be lots of kids dressed up as there favorite bat. Also another character that has a very large popularity is the joker of the same Batman movie. The passing of Heath Ledger has made the movie and the character a cult like status symbol. There are many people that will dress up like the joker and maybe this year even more than Batman himself.

It is important that when you are deciding what to be for Halloween this year you decide if you want to buy he costume or make your own. Many people like to combine the two and this results in some very unique looks.

When looking for a Halloween costume to buy you want to check many for the discount stores that will carry your favorite character. There are also many places online that will give you a large variety of costumes along with a good price. Make sure that you compare prices with quality because you might find a costume that is one that you use for several years.

Priest Classic Adult Halloween Costume (B476)

Priest Costume includes: Robe with clerical collar.

Halloween is a great time of the year when families and friends get together, everyone is happy. But Halloween is not only for treats, there are a variety of tricks that can be performed on the day. Although nowadays a lot of people do harmful and terrible tricks such as throwing eggs, this is very wrong to do. Tricks should only be for fun purposes and not to cause harm to people, so keeping that in mind there are a few traditional tricks which you may want to do to give people a freight!

First and foremost you may want to freak people out; there are a few things which you can do to do this. First is by knocking on there door and placing some sweets or candy into there bowl or hand and then walking away, this is bound to spook people out.

Next you could try to dress up as someone scary, but not traditional scary as people know what to expect. A great example is to just mess up your hair a bit and wear a wide hospital gown. You should then get some fake blood which you can buy from stores and place some of this over the gown, you should also get some white foundation and some black eyeliner to make you look a bit tired. Once you are ready you should then knock on someone's door and walk around there lawn in a daze saying things like "I'm not crazy, I will show them all" and just keep on repeating this again and again, you will definitely give people a scare.

If you are not going trick or treating yourself and would just like to stay in the comfort of your home you can very much scare the trick or treaters. Basically before the night begins you should fill your front porch full of toilet paper. Then when trick or treaters knock at the door you should blame them and pretend to start getting very angry. They will be in a shock and you will know the truth, it should be hilarious.

Halloween is a great time but just make sure that you do not take your tricks to an extreme level, as it could potentially ruin the whole event. Take things slowly, throwing eggs is not fun. If you think of your tricks a little more in depth I am sure that you will have a much better time.

Have you been inspired by some of the stunning face painting ideas around? Do you want to learn how to face paint? It really is such fun to do and a great way to give pleasure to others.

Here are my top tips to improve face painting success for beginners.

Tip 1: you cannot learn to face paint by merely reading a book or watching a video. You have to get the paints, brushes and sponges out and practice often.

Tip 2: it's best to practice on an adult or older child. Young children have a very low attention span. It's not easy to face paint if the child is fidgeting about.

Tip 3: apply thin layers of face paint. A thick layer can cake and crack, spoiling the design.

Tip 4: always allow one layer to dry before applying the next layer.

Tip 5: use a make up pencil to lightly draw the outlines of shapes.

Tip 6: avoid symmetrical face painting designs such as butterflies until you are more experienced. Animals make good face painting ideas for beginners as it is not necessary to have both sides on the animal face matching perfectly.

Tip 7: even a beginner can create amazing face painting ideas. Simply supplement your basic face painting skills by using temporary tattoos and stamps. They come in a huge range of designs including lizard, snake, spider and butterfly. Only use ones specifically designed for faces.

Bonus Tip: if a face painting idea turns out really well then take a photograph of your creation so you can start building up your very own collection of face painting ideas.

Adult Disney Mr. Incredible Halloween Costume

Customer Review: Great
Got a lot of compliments trick-or-treating with my daughter. Lots of people said they wished they had it for a costume party!

With Halloween fast approaching, Executive Defense Technology is doing a lot of radio and TV interviews on Halloween safety for your kids. An area that they are being quizzed on is safety tips for teenagers that head out for a night of fun.

Remember, Halloween is for teens, too. It is an incredibly exciting time for them because this is the age where kids want to venture out for Trick-or-Treat fun without their parents. They are at an age where being on their own is not only cool but a necessary part of their development as they make their way into adulthood. The good news for you is that you can let them go with a few common sense safety tips:

1. Teenagers should head out in a group of least four individuals or more. Heading out alone is not an option! Make sure your teenager is with a group of good friends. Make sure that they know everyone well. Halloween is not a good time to be running around costumed in the dark with strangers or new friends they are not very familiar with.

2. Make sure you know exactly where your teenager will be when they are out. Ask them what their plans for the night are and hold them to it. Knowing where your teenager is on Halloween, is not about not trusting them, it is about safety. It is about you, the parent being able to find them in an emergency. Send your child out with a cell phone and have then check in periodically, every 45 minutes/ hour - whatever the two of you agree upon, just to let you know where they are and that they are okay.

3. Teenagers also need to keep their eyes open for the smaller, younger kids. This is one of the nights of the year where all age groups mix together. Teens, even with the excitement of being out on their own should keep their eyes open for the younger kids in case there is someone who needs help or just to simply keep from running into them or tripping over them. Smaller kids are more easily injured when running into larger kids simply because they are smaller.

4. Set a specific time with your child that they need to be home. This year, Halloween falls on a weekday. This means kids have school the next day. Have them home no later than 10 p.m. It will take another hour or so for them to calm down and relax before they can head to bed. Yes, tomorrow, they'll be tired but the day after is also a part of Halloween memories.

What about those younger ghosts and goblins? How can we keep them safe? Actually, one of the biggest threats that parents sometimes overlook on this fun day isn't going to come from a poisoned piece of candy or a predator lurking in the bushes. Although, we don't want to minimize those risks either. The biggest danger on Halloween for kids is - injuries from tripping and falling. The majority of injured children showing up in the Emergency Room will do so with broken arms or wrists, chipped teeth and cuts and bruises from falling or tripping in the dark due to excitement and obstructed vision from masks.

As parents, we are enjoying ourselves visiting with neighbors and talking as we travel "around the block" from house to house. While you do so, here are some tips for keeping your kids safe so everyone can have a fun, memorable, safe evening:

1. Arm you kids with flashlights so they can negotiate their way down dark paths. A small, bright light that fits nicely in their hands is best. Make sure any flashlight has fresh batteries and illuminates well. Carry one yourself.

2. Remind the kids, before leaving the house about street safety. In their excitement, don't let them rush out in front of a car. Larry Elliott, of Executive Defense Technology, also recommends placing reflective tape on your child's shoes and on their costumes.

3. Make sure your child's shoes fit and are tied properly. Keep costumes above the ground by a few inches so your youngster doesn't trip on it while walking and running.

And since we don't want to forget about "Personal Safety", make sure your children (young and older) follow these suggestions so they don't become "easy targets" for predators:

1. Stay in well lit areas and avoid dark, lonely locations / paths.

2. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. If someone makes you uncomfortable, cross the street, head the other direction and go to a house of a family that you know and trust. (Review "Safe Houses" with your kids BEFORE Halloween so they know exactly where they can go for help)

3. Never give your name or details about yourself to a stranger.

4. Only visit the houses of the neighbors that you know and are familiar with - don't drop your children off in areas you are unfamiliar with.

5. Let the adults be the one to answer the door to Trick-or-Treaters. Don't let the children answer by themselves.

6. Never get close to or into a strangers car or go with them ANYWHERE. If a car pulls up, advise your children to take a few steps back. They should never get close enough so they can be grabbed unexpectedly. If someone needs help or directions, they should be asking an adult - not a child!

7. If you are approached, use your voice! FBI statistics say that 70-80% of assaults can be stopped by good verbal boundaries alone.

Staying safe is a choice! We still have a few days before the Halloween holiday - practice and rehearse safety with your kids so they know what is expected of them and how to prevent accidents or assaults BEFORE they happen.

Have a safe, fun Halloween!

Heartburn can be one of the most uncomfortable, and sometimes painful sensations, and frequently occurs among people of all ages. There are several causes for it, some of which can be eliminated through proper diet or treatment of other ailments that are closely associated with it. There are several medications on the market that are designed to treat and cure heartburn, but, as with many other conditions, there are natural remedies that may be helpful and found in your own kitchen cabinet.

Baking soda is a great way to stave off heartburn. Deposit one teaspoon of baking soda in an eight ounce glass of water and let dissolve. Then, drink the acid water. This is, of course, only a temporary relief, and should be treated as such. If you experience heartburn on a regular basis, you may want to visit a doctor to have it checked for Acid Reflux, which can be more serious than many people think.

Another natural remedy for heartburn is to limit the foods that are causing it. If you are used to eating fried foods, and you frequently experience heartburn soon after eating them, you may want to change your diet. Bake, broil, or steam your food if possible. It may not taste as good in the beginning, but it could make you feel a lot better in the end. It will also help to improve your overall health.

Do not sleep after eating. This will help keep the acid out of the stomach, and reduce your chances of getting heartburn. If you must lie down, elevate your head as much as possible so you will not be lying flat on your back.

Do not wear tight clothes around your waste. Doing this will squeeze your stomach and can force food up, thereby, causing heartburn. Instead, wear clothes that fit comfortably.

Do not overeat. This only expands the stomach and can increase pressure. This pressure can, in turn, force food up and cause the burning sensation commonly known as heartburn to occur.

As stated above, if you do experience frequent heartburn, you should talk to your doctor to see what can be done. Sometimes it is just a matter of changing a few eating or living habits, but other times, it can be a symptom of another condition that should be treated with medication. Your doctor can conduct a simple test to find out if this is the case, and will then be able to properly treat your condition.

Kid's Karate Boy Halloween Costume (Size:Small 4-6)

When one thinks of the state of Illinois one of the first cities they will most likely think of is Chicago. However, when someone thinks of the state of Illinois, the odds are pretty good that they aren't going to first visualize many villages within the state. Big cities and big businesses are the first thing that most people are first to associate with the state of Illinois. However, there are still a few villages out there in Illinois.

The village of Monee, Illinois is one of those villages. As of the year 2000 census there were only approximately 3,000 residents in the village. Monee, Illinois is located approximately 40 miles south of Chicago. Despite being located so far from downtown Chicago and only having a small amount of residents, Monee healthcare is some of the best around.

If you are looking for fun things to do in Monee, look no further than the golf course. Monee's golf course covers thirty four acres and is open from April through October. If you are visiting Monee in the fall season, be sure to check out their Fall Faire. This Faire has been operating since 1995 and is a three day event. All of the organizations in and around the area participate in this fun event. There are plenty of activities including food, games, crafts and more. Also held in conjunction with the Fall Faire is the community garage sale in which anyone can participate. The garage sale itself is so large that they will even provide you with a map of all of the sales. You could also visit the Monee hospital if you start to feel queasy from all the food you might consume. The Halloween party is also a great place for entertainment. This party takes place in the middle of the village with food, games and prizes for kids of all ages. The party also includes a haunted house and the annual Halloween bonfire.

Also located in the middle of the village there is a park that has recently been upgraded. The park now includes a tennis and basketball court as well as a large baseball field. The park also has a football field which will eventually be able to convert to a soccer field as well. Located throughout all parts of the village are tot lots where the younger children can have a place to play.

Although Monee may not be the biggest city in Illinois, it sure is a place that provides a great sense of community. Whether you are a long time resident or merely in the village for the Monee, Illinois hospital, there is always something happening in a community that will welcome you with open arms. Monee is a wonderful place to raise a family with most of the events centered around children.

If you are looking for more information on Monee healthcare or a Monee hospital, be sure to visit Riverside Medical Center today. Riverside Medical Center can provide you with all the information you need to know about their Monee Illinois hospital.

Two free Kids' Halloween Crafts ideas!

If you can get two big balloons, one white and one black, then your kids will love these imaginative kids' Halloween crafts ideas we have for you to turn them into unusual Halloween toys or decorations.

Cute ghost kids craft idea with a white balloon

If your kids liked Casper the ghost they will enjoy this free kids' craft idea for making an adorable little ghost as a toy or a decoration for a Halloween party. It is very simple and cute.

What you need:

  • A big white balloon
  • Some white plastic grocery bags
  • Clear tape
  • A black marker
  • Blunt ended or rounded scissors

Give the kids some white grocery bags and ask them to cut out strips about an inch wide by about 8 inches long, avoiding any colored parts so that the strips are all white.

Blow up the balloon, tie a secure knot in the neck to prevent the air escaping, and then hang it up with string somewhere the children can reach it easily.

Draw spooky eyes and a mouth on the balloon to make a ghost. Now the kids can stick their white strips of plastic all around the bottom end of the balloon to make a floaty ghost effect. This kid's craft idea makes a great Halloween decoration!

Scary spider Kids Halloween crafts idea with a black balloon

Make a huge black spider for Halloween with this kids' craft idea.

What you need:

  • A big black balloon
  • 4 long, black pipe cleaners
  • Some white-out (liquid paper)
  • A bit of string or yarn

Blow up the balloon so that it is only partially inflated, and tie a knot in it. Then make a twist in it so that you have a big ball and a little ball. The little ball will become the spider's head and should be at the end of the balloon with the opening.

Twist each pipe cleaner around the "neck" of the spider by folding it in half over the balloon and twisting tightly. (Adult help may be needed for this bit as the pipe cleaners have sharp ends that may burst the balloon!) Twist the pipe cleaner in such a way that they resemble the legs of a spider. If you have a careful look at a spider you'll notice that all legs are on the front part of the spider.

Your spider now has eight legs! Fold each leg to make it jointed. Using the white-out, paint scary eyes and fangs on the spider's face.

These balloon crafts are popular and fun free Kids' Halloween Crafts ideas for Halloween parties.
